Archaeology Conference for Geography Department Students by Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Aslı Ünar

An event was organized by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Geography Department, Dr. Lecturer Özge Can Doğmuş and Dr. Lecturer Mustafa Utlu. Aiming to explore the relationships between archaeology and geography disciplines and to explain the importance of interdisciplinary work to students, this program was presented to the 4th-year geography students with the participation of Dr. Lecturer Aslı Ünar from the Archaeology Department as a speaker.

In the lesson-like event, the foundations of archaeology, environmental archaeology, geographical determinism, and the natural connection of archaeology with the geography discipline were conveyed to the students, as well as the common topics lying at the intersection of both disciplines, thus providing students with an in-depth perspective on how these fields of science can work together more meaningfully.
